Private tours for groups at Iguazu Falls — 1 to 3 by car, 4 to 14 by exclusive van, English-speaking guide

Iguassu ONE runs private tours at Iguazu Falls from Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, in two formats: a private car or SUV for 1 to 3 travelers, with an English-speaking guide as an option, or an exclusive 15-seat Mercedes Sprinter van for 4 to 14 travelers with the English-speaking guide already included. Both sides of the falls, Paraguay, city tour and airport transfers — priced per vehicle, not per person.

Two formats · one rule

Which format fits your group: car for 1–3 or exclusive van for 4–14?

Most tours sold at Iguazu are shared: a van collects strangers from different hotels and follows a fixed clock. Here the vehicle is yours. That matters for families with children, friends traveling together, small corporate groups, and anyone who wants to cross the border to Argentina or Paraguay without queuing twice.

Up to three travelers ride in a private car or SUV and choose whether to add an English-speaking guide. From four travelers the group gets the exclusive Sprinter van with the guide already on board — because the guide takes a seat, and four people plus a guide no longer fit in a car. Per person, the van is the cheapest way to do Iguazu privately: with 14 travelers the Argentine side works out at about R$204 per person for transport and guide.

Prices per vehicle and per person

How much does a private group tour at Iguazu cost — per vehicle, and per person?

The vehicle and the guide are one price per tour; park tickets are per person. Pick the tours, set the group, and the planner divides the vehicle by everyone in it — the number no shared-tour price list shows you.

What is the van like inside?

A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 15 seats — 14 travelers plus the driver — central air conditioning, individual reclining seats with seat belts, a side door with a step, and a rear luggage compartment behind the last row.

And the car for 1–3?

A sedan or SUV with driver — the exact model depends on the date and is named in your written quote. We do not publish a stock photo of a car we might not send; the van above is the one you get.

Documents · time · what we handle

Crossing the border with a group: what do you need?

Every traveler shows a valid original document at both borders; we check the whole group days in advance, handle the vehicle papers and the queue, and pick up and return only in Foz do Iguaçu.

Brazil e-Visa — the government-authorized portal ↗
  1. Foreign passports

Carry the passport itself — Argentina accepts the original or a legalized copy, never a phone photo. US, Canadian and Australian citizens have needed a Brazilian e-Visa since April 10, 2025 (up to 90 days), issued only through the official portal linked below. Other nationalities: confirm with your consulate before you fly.

  2. Brazilian residents

A national ID card in good condition, or — within 50 km of the border, which covers Puerto Iguazú and Ciudad del Este — a valid physical driver's license. Beyond 50 km (Wanda, San Ignacio) only the ID card or passport is accepted.

  3. Minors

A child crossing without both parents needs the absent parent's notarized authorization under Argentine rules. Tell us the family arrangement when you book and we check the documents days before, not at the barrier.

  4. Time and what we handle

20 to 60 minutes each way depending on the day; Saturdays and holidays queue longer. We handle the vehicle papers, the passenger list and the queue; you stay in the vehicle for most of it.

  5. Our rule

Pickup and return are in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. We do not collect groups in Puerto Iguazú or Ciudad del Este that we did not bring there — say so before you book the hotel, not after.

2- and 3-day group itineraries — in the order that works

2 days

Day 1 — Brazilian side, Bird Park and, if the group wants it, the helicopter or the Macuco boat; Rafain dinner show in the evening. Day 2 — Argentine side, full day, with the Puerto Iguazú stops on the way back if time allows.

3 days

Add the Ciudad del Este shopping morning, or a free morning and the Foz city tour with Itaipu in the afternoon. Three nights is the comfortable pattern: arrive before day 1, leave after day 3.

We send the plan as a PDF with times, prices per day and per person; you adjust and confirm on WhatsApp. The full two-day plan, hour by hour, is on the 2-day itinerary page.

Frequently asked questions about private group tours at Iguazu

Q01PLANNING

Do you need a tour to visit Iguazu Falls?

No — both parks can be visited independently. A private tour saves the border crossing, the taxi negotiations on the other side and the ticket lines, and adds a guide who explains what you are looking at. It makes the most sense for groups: the vehicle costs the same whether two or fourteen people are in it.

Q02PLANNING

Is there Uber at Iguazu Falls?

Uber and taxis work inside Foz do Iguaçu, but they do not cross the border to Argentina or Paraguay, and they do not wait for you at the park. For a group, two taxis each way plus a separate ride on the Argentine side usually costs more than one private vehicle that stays with you.

Q03PLANNING

Which side is better, Brazil or Argentina?

They are complementary. The Brazilian side is panoramic and takes half a day; the Argentine side puts you on walkways above and beside the falls and takes a full day. If you have two days, do both — one country per day.

Q04BORDER

Can you pick us up in Puerto Iguazú?

Our tours start and end in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. If you are staying in Puerto Iguazú, contact us before booking so we can tell you honestly whether we can help — the answer depends on the date and the group, and we would rather say no than promise a pickup we cannot make.

Q05FORMAT

Does the guide speak English?

Yes. The English-speaking guide is included in the van format and optional in the car format. Availability on your date is confirmed with the written quote; the guide is a separate product from the transport and costs the same whether you ask for English, Spanish or Portuguese.

Q06FORMAT

Why does the car format stop at 3 travelers when the car has 4 seats?

Because the guide takes a seat. Four travelers without a guide would fit in a car; four travelers with a guide need the van — and from four people up, the van with the guide included is the format we sell.

Q07FORMAT

How is the price counted — per vehicle or per person?

The vehicle and the guide are priced per vehicle, per tour. Park tickets are per person, at the official price. That is why the per-person number on this page falls as the group grows: with 14 travelers in the van, the Argentine side costs a fraction per head of what a couple pays in a car.

Q08VEHICLE

How much luggage fits in the van?

The rear compartment behind the last row takes the suitcases of a full group of 14 for an airport transfer. For tour days, bring only day bags — the space is there, but the seats are more comfortable without bags in the aisle.

Q09VEHICLE

Do you provide child seats?

Yes, on request, at no extra cost — tell us the child's age, weight and height when booking. Under Brazilian law the seat type depends on the child, so we confirm it in the quote rather than promise a generic seat.

Q10MONEY

Are park tickets included?

No. We buy them for you and charge the exact price per person, so you skip the ticket line and the surprises. Children up to 5 (Argentina) and up to 6 (Brazil) do not pay; the exact rule for each attraction is on its own page and in your quote.

Q11MONEY

Can we pay in US dollars or by card?

The 10% deposit confirms the date. The balance is paid in Foz during the tour days: cash in Brazilian reais, US dollars or euros at our counter rate, or a credit card in a single charge with no surcharge. There is no checkout on this website.

Q12PLANNING

What if it rains?

The falls are open in the rain and the flow is often stronger; the walkways are safe. Bring a light raincoat. We reschedule only if a park closes — and the live river meter on this site shows how much water is falling today.

Q13FORMAT

Can we split the group over two days or two vehicles?

Yes — each day and each vehicle is priced separately, and the written quote shows the options side by side. Above 14 travelers the group needs more than one vehicle, and we build that combination by hand instead of showing an automatic number.

Q14VEHICLE

Is the vehicle air-conditioned and insured?

Yes: central air conditioning, individual reclining seats with seat belts, and passenger insurance. Our driver-guides hold the registration of Brazil's Ministry of Tourism (Cadastur).

Q15PLANNING

How far in advance should we book?

Two to four weeks in high season — July, December to February and Easter; one week the rest of the year. A van for 9–14 travelers blocks the vehicle for the whole day, so earlier is better.

Q16BORDER

Do US citizens need a visa for Brazil and Argentina?

For Brazil, yes: since April 10, 2025, citizens of the United States, Canada and Australia need an electronic visa, applied for only through the government-authorized portal, before travel. For Argentina, requirements depend on your passport — check with your consulate. We check every passport in the group days before the border, not at it.
